DFM Rules for Blechgehäuse
- Bend radius: Minimum inside radius = Materialstärke. For aluminum, use 1.5× thickness to prevent cracking.
- Hole-to-edge: ≥1.5× Materialstärke from hole center to edge. Closer spacing risks tear-out.
- Corner reliefs: Add bend relief notches (≥0.5mm width) at corners to prevent material tearing during Biegen.
- Weld seams: For IP65+ enclosures, specify continuous fillet welds on all external seams. Tack welds are insufficient.
- Mounting bosses: Use PEM inserts or weld nuts for threaded mounts. Avoid Gewindeschneiden into thin (<2mm) sheet metal.
